You can say whatever you want about Sophie Scholl but cowardly isn't one of them! This young woman could have easily changed her mind and blended back into German society! Unfortunately, she accepted her fate and stood in her convictions. Very few, and I mean a very few have the fortitude to stand up to such evil! She will always be considered a Hero throughout history!

I went to LMU's litchthof in Munchen to walk where Sophie once walked. Was a trip of a lifetime, all the way from austin texas. ❤

Good God! How did this actress not win more awards ? This is one of greatest performances to date. Sophie is one of humanity's greatest heros. She was not forgotten in heaven!

Although Johannes Reichart was the lead executioner in the third reich, he had also served as such prior to the nazi regime and he served for a period after the war, executing several convicted nazi war criminals. He was never a national socialist but he spent his final years broke and in disgrace.

Every high school student should be required to watch this movie in class.
